Dear brothers, sisters and friends,
falls hard for me to write this message as it has been difficult for me yesterday to go to Alfred and to see why he had not come. Perhaps you have already got the message:
Alfred is asleep.
God in his wisdom has determined that it should happen now (probably Sunday evening). I must not understand it and I'm sad.
"This can not be true, was still so wiry and fit," said his nephew, but it's really true. "I can not believe this, I can take it just in my faith," said Elfi, which he has probably seen as the last.
Alfred it well now. He may rest from his labor in his life, from all the hardships, inconvenience, Misunderstood and Abgelehntsein:
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. From then on I is ready the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me as reward on that day, not to me only, but also all those who have grown fond of his appearance " (2 Tim 4:7 - 9).
We should mourn because we miss him because he is irreplaceable, and because it enriches us and was a blessing. Alfred expects eternity with God and we will see him again. In this certainty we live.
"Behold, the tabernacle of God among men! And he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them, their God. And he will wipe every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain will be more: for the former is passed. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new " (Rev. 21,3.4).
We mourn the loss of Alfred and ask God for help and comfort to friends and family!
On behalf of the elders, your Dietmar
PS. Once we know when the leave will be in the cemetery of Alfred, we let you know.
