Giallo Special - Review for 'Seven young women for the Devil "
A boarding school for well-heeled girls in the summer holidays: Only a handful of students are not driven to their parents and want to enjoy the summer days. Boy, ... what a crass movie - (the whole strip is actually pretty bloodless) not because his blood level, or his bare facts (the only one really long scene of this kind is a harmless shower scene).

What makes this film the 1968 does is too obscure its deep roots into harmless 60ties years love comedies and sentimental songs, so that the entire strip is therefore a mixture of Giallo, Edgar Wallace thriller, Sissi and Hanni & Nanni - a but getting used to mix :-)
What happens when young people watch too many horror movies .. .
On the plus side are definitely a good technical implementation (the bright colors used in the X-Rated release also really nice now), the complex and detailed scenes, some very atmospheric scenes ("Psycho" Bathroom-like murder in the beginning, body detection in a lime pit ...) and many well-drawn characters.

negative a lot to me rather that many scenes take place in beautiful sunshine, and create more of a lighthearted (and inappropriate) atmosphere, various lengths (love story with instructors ... snore ..) and this slightly dumb, for innocent sixties comedies typical humor (I kind of embarrassing, but then I had to laugh a few times ;-).
I fear that there are now no longer in my basement for a year visited also looks ... creepy ...
All in all, a somewhat unusual Frühgiallo, who runs well but some times saw to it that I curled the toenails. Actually, almost unbelievable that director Antonio Margheriti later violent action thriller like "Midnight cannibals," "Raiders of the Apocalypse" and "command Leopard" turned :-)
